Safe Space Banning Policy

Within the nature of the K.E.N. events, there may arise a situation where a guest, a member of the community, or a previous employee, hereafter referred to as “the guest”, is seen as a risk to Cult of Vain, hereafter referred to as “the company”, the venue, or to the other attendees of K.E.N. events.

Should there be sufficient cause or reason for a guest to be banned or temporarily suspended, the company must have substantial evidence to back this decision. The ban/suspension order must be documented in a Guest Dismissal Order document (GDO-001), and all associated documentation should be included with the order and kept for no less than five years per U.K. Documentation Law.

Examples of evidence can include, but are not limited to;

  • A formal complaint

  • Warnings from other events

  • Infractions of the Event Rules

  • Infractions of Dungeon Rules

  • Repeatedly being warned by staff

Once a GDO-001 has been compiled, the guest will be contacted and informed of the decision and made aware of the reasons why this decision has been made. The guest will also be made aware of the restrictions of the decision, suspension, ban from K.E.N., ban from all Cult of Vain events, etc., and any way to appeal the decision should this be deemed an acceptable risk by the company.

Important – When communicating the Ban/Suspension Order to the guest, no information regarding any other patrons or information that may implicate any other patrons is to be communicated. If a complaint is made against a guest, the guest can be made aware that a complaint has been made, but no details will be given.

We always strive to create an enjoyable and safe atmosphere for everyone attending.
